Fallout 4 Clone Trooper Mod
The Empire has infiltrated Los Santos in this GTA 5 Clone Trooper mod. By Shabana Arif, Wednesday, 23 September 2015 09:05 GMT. Another day, another GTA 5 mod. Today’s pick is the Clone Trooper.
Introduction Hey everyone! I've noticed a lot of complaints about each major Fallout 4 faction sucking, so I figured out I'd share with everyone HOW I personally fixed this problem. This requires mods, so if you for some strange reason hate mods with your entire soul, leave now and don't waste your time. I also want to say that I am no modder myself, so I haven't simply made a mod that will give you this abillity.
This is all about using a few braincells and use the stuff you already have access to, wich means that everyone can customize this to their own taste.DisclaimerI apologise if my english suck, but please don't go all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on me because of it. I hope its readable enough as this is one of my first guides. Modding I constantly see people complain about problems that are easy to fix with mods, and while this isn't a direct guide, it should hopefully inspire you. The first thing you can do to fix this problem is quite simple: Make your OWN faction. While Fallout 4 doesn't have any mods that directly create a faction for you, a combination between multiple mods could basically do exactly that for you, depending on what you want out of it.First you should create a purpose and description of your faction. Whats the purpose of the faction?
How do they look? What equipment do they have? Where are they located? Are they good or evil?
Once you have a plan for what your faction should be like, its time to start modding. This section are me suggesting a few mods that can help you on your way. What you add next is up to you.The first mod I'd like to suggest is Fallout 4 Commander FCOM wich can be found here This mod basically gives you the abillity to spawn in your own personal army to fight by your side. You'll notice the options you can chose from is either The Institute, Minutemen, Railroad or The Brotherhood Of Steel (+some more) wich are basically the main faction. Now you might think 'but I don't want soldiers from those factions dfq do I do?!' ' Well fear not. By the use of the console ' you can switch the appearel of those troopers.
To do this you simply need to:- Open the console and click on said NPC so their ID is showing up.- Type 'Openactorcontainer 1' into the console, wich are going to open their inventory.- Close the console. And now you are free to equip your loyal troopers with whatever you want.
Sadly this method can be quite annoying having to go trough it EVERY time you should spawn your troops and there seems to be no MOD that allows you to save this. Still I have a cheeky little solution that allows you to 'sort of' save them for future use.- When opening the holotape (wich I suggest favoriting, btw) you will be allowed to command them around. Just call a squad of your choice from any faction you prefer the voice of, then make them hold their position at a spesific location. Preferably a place where they won't get attacked a lot. Then you are free to roam around the wasteland as you please and once you feel in need of support from your lovely soldiers you just change the 'order/command' to follow tight and they will all spawn out of nowhere beside you, ready for battle!Quick suggestions: If you are a Nuka World overboss and would prefer having more control over your raiders: True Overboss might be for you, wich can be found here:If you don't want your troopers to die that easily (or you feel they are too powerful), changing their health might be a good solution. This can be done by:- Opening the Console ' and select the NPC you want to modify.- Type 'setav health (desired number of healthpoints)' - To figure out how much health said NPC had from the beginning, you can select him/her and type 'getav health' and their health will pop up.- After that simply close the console and enjoy your underpowered/overpowered soldier. This can be good if you are equipping your troops with a weak faction armor yet you want them to be able to take a hit so they can compare with the other factions.Another problem is the fact that your followers will probably be named things like 'Institute Synth' or 'BoS Knight' which can ruin the immersion.
To fix this you can download the 'Rename Anything' mod at Fallout 4 nexus wich allows you to, surprisingly, rename anything to whatever you want, wich might give your troopers a more suitable name for your faction. The mod can be found at To use it you simply have to select an NPC with the console and type 'setname (name you want)'As I stated above, having a custom outfit of your choice to symbolize your faction is a good way to create a good immersion. Still a few people might experience problems with this and I will quickly try to answer a few problems wich may occur:If you are using modded armors for your troops you can sometimes experience having only 1 piece of an armor wich makes it kind of hard to share. Well, by the use of console you can quite simply get past this problem. Here is how you duplicate any item quick and easy using the console and two containers. I suggest making a SAVE before doing this just in case you ♥♥♥♥ up.Open the workshop and place down two containers (prefarably close to each other so you have them both in sight). One of the containers will work as a reciever and another as the sender.
Once the containers are in place, put the items you want to duplicate inside the first container, close it and open the console.- Select the empty container to find its ID. Then you type 'duplicateallitems (the ID of selected container).- Before pasting, select the other container but don't type its ID. This means that the container with your items will be selected and the container without will have its ID displayed in the command.
Then paste it.- You can now take your items from the empty container. After that I suggest placing them back into the 'sender' container and repeat the process duplicating it from 2 of each to 4 of each. Then you can obviously continoue from 4 - 8 - 16 - 32 - 64 - 128. Depending on how many you want to equip. To equip you can simply follow the instructions above '^^^'.You might also find yourself not having access to a certain ingame cloth without aggrogating whoever owns the outfit. If its a faction, they can all go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on you if you steal it. Still there is a way to add any outfit in the game with no consequenses. Just get on google and search the name of the outfit you want and then open the Fallout 4 Wikia page.
You'll find the base ID of the item down below at the right side of the page. Once you've got the ID of the item, you simply open the console and type 'player.additem (ID of the item) and it will appear in your inventory. If you are using a DLC and want DLC items from Far Harbor for example, you'll find that the base ID is displayed with 'xx' in the beginning of the numbers. Those 'xx'es vary from player to play. You will have to replace both the X'es with either 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06 or 07 wich most people probably won't have as you need to have the High Resolution Texture Pack + all DLC's equipped to reach that number. If you don't have that DLC installed, I got to tell you from my whole heart, don't get it.
It requires a♥♥♥♥♥♥ton of disk space. An unbeliavable amount in fact.
If you don't have a monsterous amount of disk space, its not worth it. Immersive basesNow its time to start with basebuilding. How you prefer to do this might vary from person to person but I suggest that you install a few mods that adds additional items to your settlement. If you have gone for a military style faction there sure are mods out there wich add more militarized walls and objects to be used. A mod I however will suggest for EVERYONE who are going to touch a settlement is Place Everywhere wich can be found here: Don't let all the bugs trick you. I've used it for a long time and can't remember any major bugs from it. Still if you're skeptic to it then you're free to not install it, yet if you want to build an immersive base that looks like it belongs in the game then you should really use this as the mod simply removes one of the stupidest restrictions in settlement building.
Now you won't need to have floating walls everywhere but have them look like they blend in with the terrain. So now for some mods that adds to your more faction based settlement. The first mod I will suggest using is Constructible Guards wich can be found here: What this does is add placable guards at your workshop defense guards. You can place those guards anywhere you want and they will just stand still where you placed them and guard the area. Just equip them with whatever outfit you want (those guys allows you to trade with them as they count as settlers) and have renamed then you're good to go.
There are a few problems I am experiencing with this tho, wich is a shame. For the first, you can't command them, and sometimes when placed on walls, they fall trough it when you fasttravel. They will also move during some attacks and might in certain situations not return to their guard spot. You can still move them back manually with the workshop tho.You will also notice that those guards can't be ordered to patrol the area. If you'd like them to patrol, you could use the FCOM - Fallout 4 Commander mod I showed you above and assign your current troops to a settlement and then command them around making them patrol the guard posts.Another mod I will suggest to add some extra immersion to your guard posts would be to download Craftable Animation Marker and Busy Settlers wich will add some more life to your settlement. Those can be found here: and here: This will allow you to make your settlers or guards (not the constructible ones) do different animations like cooking and wall leaning to make your base look more alive.
You'll eventually get to a point where you are tired of settlers who stand completely still looking like braindead zombies all day, and this is a nice fix to that problem. You suck at building settlements? This is obviously not for everyone, but if you really feel you just can't get to make a good looking base for your faction there is a way around. This method will allow people to share their settlements with you, without making you have to switch savefile.
Its called Transfer Settlements - Sharable Settlements and can be found here: This might look advanced at first, but if you carefully read the guide on how to use it, you'll realise its actually quite simple. This means that if you have a friend who is a real pro at building great looking settlements you can ask him to download this mod and load hes settlement down at a blueprint he can share with you so you can transport it over to your own save!
Currently it seems like very few people know about this, so if you see a YouTuber that has made the settlement of your dreams, you could kindly ask him to download this mod and upload hes settlement blueprints in the description of hes videos giving you full access to it.If this alternative for some reason doesn't work for you then I suggest you to check out the resent expansion of Sim Settlement called 'Rise Of The Commonwealth' wich can be found here: This is an expension as I stated above, so you NEED to have the latest patch of Sim Settlements installed for it to work. I also want to remind you that this mod has just been released but the author is doing an amazing job at constantly updating and fixing bugs, so if you're dead scared of bugs then just wait a few days with installing and most of them should be gone within the time you decide to download it. So what does this mod do? It simply makes your settlers build settlements FOR you, instead of you having to build them yourself.
Fallout 4 Clone Wars Mods
All you have to do is donate a few supplies here and there to speed up the progress, or you could leave it alone and do whatever the ♥♥♥♥ you want. Meanwhile after a few days, the settlement will turn into a big nice town with a great balance between settlers, food, defense, power and water. A guide by the author himself on how to use it can be found at hes YouTube channel:I am personally using it and it works amazing! There hasn't been added a build plan for all settlement locations yet, but there are quite a few already so if you want to skip hours of constant working then this is the mod for you.
This allows lazy people like me to work at the settlement I care the most about while still making the other ones nicely fortified.Another thing you could do is to spawn a workshop with the console wich will allow you to build at any location you want. Even indoors!
This can however have some negative side effects, so I suggest making a save and play trough the main game before using this command, but if you really want to own the prydwen or place an outpost in the middle of the city, then now you can!- Open up your console '.- Type in 'player.placeatme c1aeb' wich will spawn a workbench at your current location.- Simply right click it and start building! You can also spawn a workshop with the mod conquest, but I've heard that it causes a lot of gamebreaking bugs so use at your own risk. Ending. And if you have followed and expanded on my suggestions, you should by now have a powerful force set up in the commonwealth (or Far Harbor, Nuka World.) As stated at the start, this is not a complete guide on how to do things. A lot of the work and ideas depends on you. This post was meant to inspire and show people that cool things can be accomplished by the use of console and a few mods.
By now I will expect you to have a heavy fortified base wherever you'd like filled with your own spesific faction guards all waiting orders from you. From there you can lead an army anyplace you want and take down whoever you want to accomplish your goal as the furious faction leader you are! I hope this guide helped you. If there is something I could have done better I'd love if you told me as this is basically my first Fallout 4 guide.PS: I don't take credit for any of the mods or commands featured on this list. All rights stays with their owners. I don't take responsibillity if you are experiencing any gamebreaking problems due to this (wich you likely won't, but if you somehow do.) but I will gladly help if I am capable to solve your problems.
Just post them here and I'll see what I can do. I hope you have a great day! When you've finally made your army I'd absoulutely LOVE to see you post some screenshots!
Everyone are free to discuss down below. Thank you for reading, I hope it helps! Have a nice day!:)PSS: Just for a start on the discussion, I prefered a little bit of an evil path making a mafiagroup in the commonwealth.
By modding I've managed to keep all 3 Nuka World gangs alive, so they are basically allies having Cola Cars Arena as their headquarters (did that by placing a workshop inside it). More of the lore is that each recruit will have to survive trough the gauntlet to become a member of the group. They are usually going undercover on killerjobs for caps.
Here is how I designed them: Hope to see what kind of gang/group or faction you'll come up with!:)EDIT 1# Fixed a problem where the links were not showing correctly. If you notice any major mistakes with my post, please inform me so I can edit them out. Thank you!EDIT 2# Fixed a problem where some commands weren't written correctly. I have 3 PC's that have start own faction. I am not very active on steam, more so on nexus, and I have been looking for anyone else doing similar level of nation building as me and I am glad to see someone else out there has been putting serious thought into this besides me. I currently am running 253 immersive plugins and countless non-plug in mods. Been very careful about maintaining scripts, I have over 2000 hours game play 80% post-game but my mods keep game very dangerous even at level 172.
