Jun 15, 2018 Which is better: SD or CF memory card for 5D Mark IV? Jul 15, 2017 I think I want to go with using dual cards, and I bought plenty of new 128GB SD cards. However, the CF cards are more expensive for the same size memory. Are they more reliable? I want to buy some 128GB CF cards, but am worried about counterfeit cards. My 5D Mark IV seems to randomly 'automatically stopped recording' video when using various fast SD cards. It's strange, it might record for several minutes long clips without any issues but then suddenly stop on it's own on a new clip after a few seconds.
