Hello,I am currently trying to give a remote developer access to a database on my clients godaddy shared hosting. I want them to be able to access phpmyadmin so they can alter some tables for me.I can log into phpmyadmin just fine through the cpanel but I dont want to give my developer access to that, just phpmyadmin. I have login credentials for the database except for the server name and everywhere I look to find it, all I see are people saying to use localhost which obviously wont work in this situation. Is there a way that he can access phpmyadmin without going through the cpanel? Or is this just another obstacle that comes with using godaddy?EDIT: Turns out this limitation is by design.
Thanks again GoDaddy!. If I am in the cPanel and click the link for phpmyadmin, I get redirected to another godaddy page which basically just says 'please wait while we redirect you to phpmyadmin'. And a moment later I am redirected to phpmyadmin where I am automatically logged in.To make things worse, any help pages redirect me to.
Because I am in canada, and all of those pages are just returning errors. And any godaddy help I do find just tells me to click on a button in my database list which does not exist.GoDaddy fuckery indeed.
